Today’s medical devices work by harnessing many different physical phenomena, often with several processes interacting simultaneously. Optimizing these medical devices requires understanding how internal processes are inter-dependent, which requires coupled system modeling. Veryst Medical has expertise developing sophisticated, coupled system models built from first principles. Using tools such as Matlab/Simulink and COMSOL, Veryst Medical engineers can build accurate models of complex systems involving non-linear electrical, mechanical, fluid, diffusion, and thermal phenomena. Such models illuminate the consequences of design trade-offs and help streamline new medical device development or existing device optimization.
